Who are the people who cultivate, cure and dry the vanilla that we enjoy in ice cream, chocolate and perfume? Who’s responsible for the painstaking work to bring us the flavor and fragrance we so much enjoy?
"Meet the Growers" showcases the people behind the scenes, the growers and workers who have dedicated their lives to the production of this ubiquitous yet mysterious tropical orchid and its treasured fruit. We begin with Heriberto Larios who first introduced me to the world of Mexican vanilla in October of 1994, thus beginning a very dear friendship and partnership in the vanilla trade.
